TAA Tools

The Display User Profile 2 command is a simple front end to DSPUSRPRF
to allow an authorized user to be able to display any user profile on
the system. The user must be authorized to the TAADSPUSR2
authorization list. The DSPUSRPRF2 command adopts the Security
Officers profile to execute the DSPUSRPRF command.

A typical command would be:

          DSPUSRPRF2 USRPRF(xxx)

A generic name or *ALL may be entered to assist in determining a user
profile name.

The command is intended for Assistant Security Officers who do not
have the full power of the QSECOFR profile. The command is also an
option on the SECOFR2 menu (see the SECOFR2 TAA Tool).

Use with the TAADPTSEC Authorization List

An alternative approach is to allow for multiple assistant security
officers who can each manage a set of unique user profiles. This is
called a 'Departmental Security Officer'. See the discussion of the
TAADPTSEC authorization list in the SECOFR2 tool documentation.

Use for Auditors

You may want to authorize an auditor to the DSPUSRPRF2 command.

An alternative for auditors, is to authorize them to the TAADSPADP
authorization list to allow a display or of any object on the system.
See the discussion with the DSPADP tool.

Command parameters *CMD

USRPRF The user profile name, a generic name, or the
special value *ALL. If a specific name is entered,
DSPUSRPRF is used to display the user profile.

If a generic user name is specified, a list of the
generic user profiles is displayed along with the
text description and user profiles may be displayed.

If *ALL is specified, a list of all user profiles is
displayed along with the text description and user
                 profiles may be displayed.

TYPE The same options are supported as on the system
DSPUSRPRF command including *BASIC, *ALL, *CMDAUT
                 etc. The default is *BASIC.

REFRESH An option to determine if the DSPUSRPRF OUTFILE
function is used to refresh the TAASECKP file in the
TAASECURE library. The default is *YES meaning the
                 file will be refreshed.

*DAYCHG may be specified which means the file will
be refreshed if the last time the file was output
was on a different day. *DAYCHG assumes that you
are using the command repeatedly on the same day,
you do not want to keep refreshing the information.

*NO may be specified to use the existing data. If
no data exists, the file is output.

OUTPUT How to output the results. * is the default.
*PRINT may also be specified. These have the same
meaning as on the system DSPUSRPRF command. Note
that the Out-file option is not supported.

The tool is ready to use, but the user must be authorized to the
TAADSPUSR2 authorization list to use the command.
