VRYVRTDSP VARY VIRTUAL DISPLAY TAACFHA |
The Vary Virtual Display command varies a single or multiple virtual
displays on or off, depending on the request. This command works
only on virtual displays and ignores all other device types.
You must have *JOBCTL special authority to use VRYVRTDSP.
Displays will be varied on if they are in VARIED OFF or VARY OFF
PENDING state. Displays will be varied off if they are in VARIED ON,
VARY ON PENDING, or SIGNON DISPLAY state.
A typical command would be:
VRYVRTDSP DEV(ABC*) STATUS(*OFF)
Virtual displays beginning with 'ABC' that are in VARIED ON, VARY ON
PENDING, or SIGNON DISPLAY state would be varied off.
VRYVRTDSP escape messages you can monitor for:

None. Escape messages from based on functions will be re-sent.
Command parameters *CMD

DEVICE The virtual display device name. A specific name,
generic name, or *ALL may be entered.
This is a required field with no default.
STATUS A *YES/*NO value for whether to vary on or off the
requested device(s).
